The First Manned Flight
●Made by Jean Fancois Pilatre de Rozier and Marquis d'Arlandes
●Made in a Montgolfier hot air balloon and the flight was their first untethered flight a on 21 November 1783, taking off at around 2p.m.
●Took off from the garden of the Chateau de la Muette in the Bois de Boulogne (a park in France)and returned to the ground at the Butte-aux-Cailles then on the outskirts of Paris
●Was 25 minutes long and travelled about 9km to the southeast
The First powered, sustained, and controlled Flight in a heavier-than-air Machine
Took to the air on December 17,1903 into a headwind gusting to 43 km/h
First flight was made by Orville, was 37m high, and its speed was 10.9km/h
After the men hauled the Flyer back from its fourth flight, wind flipped it over and it was severely damaged and it never flew again.
The Wright Flyer 1 is now installed in the Smithsonian Institution in USA.
The First Space Flight
The flight was made by Yuri Gagarin of Soviet
●It was made on 12 April 1961
●He launched to orbit aboard the Vostok 1
●He whistled the tune "The Motherland Hears, The Motherland Knows" in space and said his famous words 'The Earth is blue'
